Despite going up 12lbs for his win at Tipperary last month Shanroe (5:15) is fancied to follow up at Cork on Friday evening.
The three-time bumper winner looked on a very fair mark for his handicap debut and he duly won with plenty in hand. I did think he might be one who would be aimed at the Galway Festival, and although this looks a tougher assignment than last time, he can defy top-weight – he looks a nice prospect under both codes for the summer months.
