Up at Kelso, Dali Mail (2:12) should relish the testing ground and can land the novices’ handicap chase, under top-weight. A winner on chase debut, the grey was travelling well when falling at Ayr last time, and looks a promising sort for trainer Donald Whillans. The form of the stable is a slight concern, but conditions look right for this heavy-ground specialist, who won a bumper at this track earlier in his career.
