Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Sunday; Palmers Hill in the 15:00 and Sporting John 16:05 both at Exeter. Compare odds and bet.
If Exeter gets the go-ahead on Sunday (precautionary inspection due to the expected high winds) PALMERS HILL (3:00) is of interest, after a lay-off, in the Pertemps Qualifier. Last seen winning a handicap at Cheltenham in November 2018, he looked ahead of his mark at the time and the seven-year-old remains very lightly-raced for his age. The step up in distance should suit and he will need to go close if he is to qualify for the final.
In the same colours SPORTING JOHN (4:05) is fancied to make the most of the 5lbs he gets off Master Debonair in the Listed novices’ hurdle. Twice a winner over course-and-distance, he can maintain his unbeaten record and in doing so, will probably book his ticket to the Ballymore at the festival. His defeat of Harry Senior on debut now reads particularly well.
