Newbury stages a cracking card on Wednesday, where the maiden and novices’ hurdle look good events that should throw up plenty of winners.
The novices’ handicap chase also looks competitive, but top-weight FONTSANTA (1:20) drops in class after running well behind Champ and can strike for Emma Lavelle.
The front three from his debut run have all won since, and the six-year-old ran better than the bare result might suggest. He was available at an each-way price overnight.
