The 2m5f maiden hurdle from Warwick looks a decent event today and is one which is likely to produce plenty of future winners.
KALOOKI (12:50) gets the vote, as the step up in trip should certainly suit and his debut effort at this track wasn’t without encouragement. He finished fourth and the runner-up has won since, whilst both the winner and the fifth have run well in defeat, giving that form a fairly strong feel.
Bred to relish this longer distance (half-brother to Kruzhlinin), the five-year-old caught the eye in bumpers a couple of times last term and should go well here, with that run under his belt.
