Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Maire Banrigh in the Warwick 13:50. Compare odds and bet.
The novices hurdle at Warwick looks a decent event this afternoon, whilst the highlight for most race goers at the track will be the chase debut of Supreme Novices’ runner-up Thomas Darby.
There is no doubting that he is an exciting prospect, but he’ll need to be on his metal from word go against MAIRE BANRIGH (1:50) who will no doubt go from the front, as she did when winning on debut. She was rated 29lbs inferior to the favourite over hurdles, but jumped well at Stratford and has since gone up 15lbs.
Still a stone behind Thomas Darby on official ratings, she will probably never get a better chance of beating Olly Murphy’s six-year-old and at the prices (available at 9-4 at the time of writing) she is worth chancing.
It will be interesting to see if Murphy’s other runner Mon Port takes on the selection from the front.
Friday’s selection:
1:50 Warwick – Marie Banrigh; 2/1 Bet365
