Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Saturday; Rathhill in the 13:50 and Delta Work 14:25 both at Down Royal. Compare odds and bet.
DELTA WORK (2:25) returns to action this afternoon, in Down Royal’s Grade 1 Ladbrokes Champion Chase and can continue from where he left off as a novice last term.
Third in the RSA in March, he rounded off a successful campaign by winning a third Grade 1 in impressive fashion at the Punchestown Festival. The six-year-old has only had three chase starts over 3m, so remains completely unexposed in this division, and given the record of both Gordon Elliott and Gigginstown in this race, he is sure to be ready to do himself justice.
Earlier on the card RATHHILL (1:50) is a fascinating runner for Nicky Henderson and JP McManus. The chosen mount of Barry Geraghty, he has been off the track since disappointing in the Tolworth Novices’ Hurdle 11 months ago, but he had earlier looked a high-class prospect when winning with ease at Newbury. A mark of 135 looks fairly lenient and a victory here could well tee up a tilt at the Greatwood Hurdle in a fortnight.
Saturday’s selections:
1:50 Down Royal – Rathhill; 11/4 Paddy Power
2:25 Down Royal – Delta Work; 13/8 Paddy Power
