Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Eden du Houx in the Exeter 14:25. Compare odds and bet.
Exeter stages a decent card on Tuesday, where Eden du Houx (2:25) is fancied to maintain his 100% record in the Watch Irish Racing on Racing TV Maiden Hurdle.
The five-year-old won an Irish Point before joining his current connections, for whom he won a brace of bumpers last term. After an easy success at Plumpton, he made all to win a really competitive Listed event at Ascot, when he had several subsequent winners in behind, including Grade 2 Aintree winner The Glancing Queen.
Good ground is an unknown, but he debuts over hurdles at a time when the David Pipe stable seem to be going particularly well, with the trainer saddling five winners from 17 runners since 7 October, and his only two runners over the weekend were successful at Ffos Las.
Later on the card, it is a shame that neither Getaway Trump nor Thomas Darby line up in the Best Mate Beginners’ Chase, but it still looks a competitive heat. I will be interested to see how Moonlighter fares on chase debut, as he too hails from an in-form yard, although he has a bit to find with three of his rivals on hurdles form. I am expecting him to develop into a decent chaser and he should, therefore, be watched closely.
