Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Timetochill in the Huntingdon 14:45. Compare odds and bet.
I’ll be at Huntingdon this afternoon, for the next Jumpers To Follow-sponsored race, and the mares’ maiden hurdle on the card looks a decent event. Who’s The Boss is one of a couple of interesting Point-to-Point recruits, and Elk Bridge boasts fair form in bumpers in Ireland.
However, Timetochill (2:45) was a very smart bumper performer and will appreciate the better ground than when last seen in Grade 2 company at Aintree. Prior to that, Kelly Morgan’s six-year-old had won a bumper at Kelso (beating another of today’s rivals by 13 lengths) and then followed up in Listed company at this course. The daughter of Scorpion ran out an impressive winner (value for more than the winning margin, given she idled late on) and the form was boosted last Friday when Silver Forever won at Chepstow.
At Hereford, I will be interested to see how Don’t Shout fares going up in trip, following an encouraging debut at Perth. I liked him – physically – in the paddock at Perth and he ought to appreciate the step up in trip.
Tuesday’s selection:
2:45 Huntingdon – Timetochil; 7/2 Paddy Power
