Worcester stages a decent card on Thursday, where the concluding novice hurdle looks a potentially informative event, as Old Jeroboam and Olly The Brave face an interesting recruit from France.
However, the selection comes from Exeter, where ECLAIR DES SABLONS (14:20) is given another chance in the opening conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle, after being withdrawn at Warwick recently. He was unruly beforehand and eventually unseated Ben Poste on the way to the start.
Katy Price’s five-year-old had shown bits of promise last season, however, and could well be on a nice mark (115) for this handicap debut. Hopefully he will be on better behaviour this afternoon and if getting off on terms, he could go well.
