Paul Ferguson has two selections from Worcester for us on Monday; Seven de Baune at 2.20 and Carys’ Commodity at 3.20. Compare odds and bet.
Impressive when winning his bumper on good ground at Uttoxeter, SEVEN DE BAUNE (2:20) won once from three starts over hurdles last term and remains a bright prospect for fences.
Given a break following a disappointing effort over Christmas, he returned with a sound second in France during June. He has held entries through the summer, so should be wound up for the chasing debut, and conditions look in his favour. Ian Williams saddled a novice chase winner at the track last week and can do so again.
In the bumper, CARYS’ COMMODITY (3:20) can go one better than on debut at Newton Abbot, for trainer Jonjo O’Neill.
The four-year-old, who will be partnered by the returning Jonjo Junior, was well backed on debut where he travelled notably well. The winner got first run on him that day and he looks capable of winning something similar before going hurdling.
Monday’s selections:
2:20 Worcester – Seven de Baune; 7/4 Betfred
3:20 Worcester – Carys’ Commodity; 2/1 Bet365
