Live on ITV 4: Mon 18.00: Phil Taylor is 1/2 (bet365) to win the Grand Slam of Darts as he continues his defence against Ted Hankey.
Taylor is just 1/8 (Skybet) to win his best of 9 tonight against Hankey to make it 2 wins from 2, while correct scores of 5-1 and 5-2 to Taylor are 10/3 and 3/1 respectively (Betfred).
Simon Whitlock is all but out so James Wade is Paddy Power’s distant 2nd fav at 9/1. Wade must beat Van der Voort to progress following his loss to Tony O’Shea to qualify as runner up. Gary Anderson has had a very solid start to this year’s competition, winning 2 from 2 with relative ease and can be backed at 12/1 with Boylesports.
Wade and Anderson could very possibly clash in the quarters and a small each-way interest on both (half odds to make the final) could give you some insurance.
Finally, Van Barneveld has got off to a flying start and is 14/1 to win (Stan James) but sadly shares a half with Taylor should he progress.
