Hampered on debut at Sandown, he was pulled-up at Kempton on Boxing Day in a race which has worked out extremely well since. If he can be forgiven that run, he still looks attractively handicapped and the smaller field should help.
Cloth Cap is a horse I have plenty of time for and he warrants plenty of respect, but he’s up a further 9lbs for his Catterick win.
