Although I’m a fan of Shady Operator and think that he could develop into a really nice staying chaser, I’m finding it difficult making a case for him reversing form with Chris’s Dream (2:20) from their meeting at Navan on debut.
Shady Operator has, of course, won since but he has 10 lengths to find with the selection, who jumped well and promises to be even better over today’s longer trip. This is a really competitive Grade 3 event and one that should prove informative going forward.
