Only fourth in the Challow last time BREWIN’UPASTORM (3:00) is taken to bounce back to winning ways in the Classic Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.
Olly Murphy’s six-year-old was undone by the sedate gallop last time and would probably appreciate being ridden closer to the pace here. The ground shouldn’t pose any problems, as he seems versatile in that respect, and if he is to develop into a contender for the Ballymore at the festival, he probably needs to be winning this.
Keep an eye on Flash The Steel in the concluding handicap hurdle, as he is up 5lbs for beating Ey Up Rocky (put up here yesterday) having earlier finished fourth behind the day’s only selection. His form could look a fair bit stronger come post time.
