Third in what is turning out to be a very hot novices’ handicap at Kempton on Boxing Day CARLOS DU FRUITIER (2:50) is fancied to further enhance that form at Newbury today.
Both Dell Oro and Glen Rocco (both winners for this column) won from that Kempton race over the weekend and, due to that collateral form, the selection was put up 3lbs yesterday. That rise doesn’t effect today’s mark so he’s 3lbs ahead of the assessor here.
His earlier third behind King of Realms also reads quite well and he ought to go close if reproducing either effort.
Market leader Quarenta also finished behind Glen Forsa before scoring at Warwick and he’s respected, despite a 6lbs rise.
