Southwell stages a decent mares’ novices’ hurdle on Tuesday, in which Sea Story (2:50) is of interest for the in-form yard of Kim Bailey.
A dual bumper winner last term, she was well-beaten in a Grade 2 at Aintree on her final start, but looks a nice prospect for hurdles. She has held plenty of entries of late, so has clearly been ready for go for some time now.
She surprisingly opened up 6-1 with one firm on Monday evening, but that didn’t last long, despite this looking a competitive event.
