Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Sunday; Sevarano in the 13:50 and Destrier 14.55 both at Sandown. Compare odds and bet.
There are some really nice novice hurdlers on show at both meetings on Sunday, one being Sevarano (1:50) who can land the maiden hurdle at Sandown for Oliver Sherwood.
A Kempton bumper winner on debut last season, he went on to finish a sound fifth in the Grade 2 at Aintree and that race has already worked out really well, with several winning over hurdles early on this season.
Later on the card Destrier (2:55) is fancied to go well in the handicap over the same trip. Dan Skelton’s five-year-old won his first two starts over hurdles last season and appeals as the type to have done really well for his summer break. An imposing individual, a mark of 127 looks more than fair and he will, hopefully, be available at an each-way price in what looks a competitive 22-runner affair.
