Despite the fact that there is some really good jumps racing this afternoon, I’m heading to Doncaster for the day’s selection, which comes in the shape of Buzz (3:15) in the November Handicap.
The grey did us a good turn when winning at Newbury when last seen during September and, with conditions to suit, a big run looks on the cards again. The third franked the Newbury form by winning off a 3lbs higher mark, so a 4lb rise for Buzz seems fair. A strong traveller, the slightly longer trip shouldn’t be a problem (didn’t stay 1m6f the time before but today’s distance should be fine) and it is the wide draw in 21 that is the only real concern, but being a hold up performer he will be dropped in.
