Paul Nicholls has won Exeter’s Haldon Gold Cup on six occasions and DIEGO DU CHARMIL (2:05) looks to have an excellent chance of making it seven.
The winner of Aintree’s Maghull Novices’ Chase was probably still feeling the effects of that effort when only fifth to Altior in the Celebration Chase, where he finished behind two of today’s rivals. He moved well for a long way at Sandown and this will almost certainly have been the main objective since returning to training this summer.
