Despite not getting his head in front in two starts SOUTHFIELD TORR (2:20) showed promise in bumpers and is one to note in the opening maiden hurdle at Wincanton.
Paul Nicholls’ grey finished third on debut at Fontwell (second won next time) and fourth in a good race at Taunton. The third home Colonel Custard won a bumper and did us a good turn on hurdles debut last Friday, while the winner Anytime Will Do has also won over hurdles.
A half-brother to both Southfield Theatre and Southfield Vic, he looked as though he would benefit from his summer break and he rates a nice prospect.
