Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Thursday; Kalahari Queen in the Worcester 13:25. Compare odds and bet.
Worcester’s card gets underway with a five-runner mares’ novices’ chase, in which KALAHARI QUEEN (1:25) can make a winning start over fences, for Jamie Snowden.
The five-year-old is a former winning pointer and her trainer is wasting no time in switching her to fences. An improver when last seen, the daughter of Kalanisi won a novice hurdle at Lingfield and a handicap at Exeter, before chasing home Roksana in the mares’ finale at Newbury.
The winner went on to run a blinder in the Grade 1 Sefton at Aintree and Kalahari Queen has an official hurdles rating of 131. Given that she appears a chaser on looks, she could well improve again for fences and she’s certainly the best long-term prospect in the field. Hopefully, she’ll be wound up against a couple of race-fit rivals.
Thursday’s selection:
1:25 Worcester – Kalahari Queen; 11/8 Paddy Power
