Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Tuesday; Sancta Simona in the Galway 14:05. Compare odds and bet.
Beaten at odds-on last time, having impressed when winning a bumper during May, Sancta Simona (2:05) boasts a similar profile to Friday’s winner Yukon Lil.
Her stable-mate bounced back to form and I’m taking a chance that this mare follows suit, on her hurdles debut at Galway this afternoon. She looked a really nice prospect when drawing 11 lengths clear of a useful sort in a Kilbeggan bumper and it could just be that she needed that run last month. Today’s slightly better ground and longer trip should suit and at 7-2 (Bet365) she is worth chancing, despite this looking a competitive event. The fourth from Kilbeggan franked the form by winning at the weekend.
Later on the card, I’m looking forward to seeing how Mind’s Eye goes on his chase debut. He appeals as the type who could step forward for fences, but he faces a superior hurdler in the shape of Voix du Reve. It should be an informative contest.
Tuesday’s selection:
2:05 Galway – Sancta Simona; 5/2 Bet365
