Disappointing on his hurdling debut at Ludlow back in May, Ballinahinch (2:50) had earlier shown promise in bumpers – particularly at the same track in March – and is worth a second look in the maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter on Wednesday.
Seamus Durack’s six-year-old split a couple of promising sorts in that Ludlow bumper, having earlier finished fourth in an all-weather contest at Lingfield (third won at Galway last month). Today’s longer trip ought to suit and he is reunited with Richard Johnson.
