BANGKOK (2:05) looked a sure fire future winner when a narrow second at Newmarket a fortnight ago.
Andrew Balding’s expensive Australia colt looked to have got the better of the eventual third and fourth, only to be grabbed late on by a fast finishing Kingman colt of Sir Michael Stoute’s. He readily drew clear of the remainder in the closing stages and the fourth has since advertised the form by winning at Chester – he selection sets a good standard here.
