Nicky Henderson’s eight-year-old jumped well in the main at Ludlow and created a good impression, scoring off a mark of 132. The runner-up won a handicap at the weekend and he looks up to carrying his penalty to success here.
Later on the card BLACK KALANISI (5:20) is fancied to make a winning debut over hurdles.
A bumper winner at this track earlier this month – on what was his second start for the stable – he clearly enjoys a sound surface and I had expected him to be trading a bit shorter (15/8 overnight).
