Last month’s course-and-distance winner L’Inganno Felice sets the standard in the opening novices’ hurdle at Market Rasen on Sunday, but conceding 6lbs to Tayzar (2:10) won’t be easy and the latter is preferred for Ruth Jefferson and Brian Hughes.
The selection has himself twice shaped well when runner-up at this track and ought to appreciate the drop back in distance. With the Jefferson yard in good order, the seven-year-old is taken to get off the mark over timber.
