A winner at Uttoxeter a fortnight ago Behind Time (3:15) can continue his progression as a staying chaser at Haydock this afternoon.
Harry Fry’s imposing seven-year-old looked a youngster of some potential when winning a handicap hurdle at Cheltenham last season and, after three runs over inadequate trips, he ran well in defeat on a couple of occasions before getting off the mark last time. He sported cheek pieces for the first time at Uttoxter (wears them again here) and if they continue to assist, he might well be up to the task, off a 7lbs higher mark.
