Paul Ferguson goes for Stoney’s Treasure in the 2.50 at Fontwell on Friday. Early Price 15/8 at William Hill.
Quite a few interesting runners on Friday, both at Fontwell and over in Northern Ireland at Down Royal, but from a punting point of view, the one that stands out is Stoney’s Treasure (2:50) who is taken to get the weekend off to a flyer.
Alan King’s useful novice hurdler begins his chasing career in handicap company, which indicates that connections believe he is well treated and schooling has gone well.
His bumper form is rock solid and he won his first two starts over timber, before he rounded of the season running a cracker off this mark in the EBF Final at Sandown.
With most of his six rivals looking exposed, it will be disappointing if he can’t land this contest, granted a clear round on debut.
