His most recent second now looks better than it did at the time, with Chef des Obeaux following up, but I’ve been waiting for CADEYRN (1:20) to go up in trip so he gets the nod.
On a strict line through Count Meribel, he has plenty to find with Bob Mahler, but he left that form behind when a staying-on fourth at Chepstow and ought to relish this longer trip.
The third and fifth from Chepstow have won since and, with the testing ground in his favour, he should go well.
