Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Friday; Copain De Classe 13:30 and King Of Realms 14:05 both at Doncaster. Compare odds and bet.
If Doncaster passes an early morning inspection COPAIN DE CLASSE (1:30) can carry top-weight to victory in the novices’ handicap chase.
Paul Nicholls’ good-looking five-year-old ran well on his chase debut behind Benatar, looking the likely winner for a long way. If he steps forward, he can provide his trainer with a fifth winner over the festive period.
In the very next race Black Op heads the market on the back of a Newbury fourth on his hurdles debut.
A smart bumper performer – beat Claimantakinforgan here – he is respected, but KING OF REALMS (2:05) is preferred, after chasing home Kildistart (ran well in a Kempton handicap earlier in the week) at Ascot recently.
Another useful bumper horse (does have ground to make up with the favourite on their Aintree running) Ian Williams’ five-year-old beat Silver Kayf in an Ascot bumper last November. Again, if he steps forward on that debut effort, he ought to go very close.
Over in Ireland I’m looking forward to seeing current RSA Chase favourite Monalee in the Neville Hotels at Leopardstown, but he looks tight enough (odds on) against a solid yardstick in Rathvinden. If he wins this well, on just his second start over fences, I’d expect him to harden a fair bit for the festival.
Friday’s selections:
1:30 Doncaster – Copain De Classe ; evens Ladbrokes
2:05 Doncaster – King Of Realms; 3/1 Ladbrokes
