Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Paloma Blue in the Punchestown 12:20. Compare odds and bet.
A fairly well-beaten third on his hurdles debut (beaten 14 lengths) 18 days ago PALOMA BLUE (12:20) can land the opening maiden at Punchestown on Wednesday.
Henry de Bromhead’s imposing son of Stowaway was a smart bumper performer – won at Fairyhouse before finishing runner-up to the ill-fated Fayonagh at the festival here in April – and he moved well for a long way on his first start over timber. The ground was atrocious that day at Naas, however, and he was unable to pick up in the conditions. A smart long-term prospect, he looks capable of stepping forward this afternoon and ought to be difficult to beat under Davy Russell. He was trading at 10-11 on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday’s selection:
12:20 Punchestown – Paloma Blue; 4/5 William Hill
