Paul Ferguson has two selections from Chepstow for us on Wednesday; Run To Milan at 1:25 and Red Rising at 3:20. Compare odds and bet.
Later disqualified RUN TO MILAN (1:25) beat subsequent G2 winner Lalor in a Wincanton bumper on Boxing Day and can make a winning debut over hurdles at Chepstow.
Victor Dartnall’s five-year-old handled the soft ground well that day and, though he finished only midfield behind Lalor at Aintree, he remains a bright prospect for hurdling. He appeals as the type that will have benefited from his summer break and his jockey Nick Scholfield was in double winning form at Exeter yesterday.
Later on the card, it is hard to ignore the claims of RED RISING (3:10) in the staying handicap hurdle, off an appealing looking mark.
A literal reading of his Point-to-Point defeat of Testify makes him look well treated and he looked a nice young stayer in the making when winning on his Rules debut at Catterick. He ought to relish the soft ground and stiff track.
