Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Friday; Star Rock in the York 15:55. Compare odds and bet.
The jumps action again steps up a notch at Newton Abbot this afternoon, where Maria’s Benefit and Diego Du Charmil stand out in the first couple of contests.
The odds compilers don’t appear to have taken any chances with either, however, so the day’s selection comes from York, in what looks a cracking three-year-old handicap.
The hat-trick seeking pair of Gold Star and STAR ROCK (3:55) stand out, with marginal preference for the latter who receives 16lbs from the Godolphin runner.
Gold Star won with tons in hand last time and has gone up a whopping 13lbs, whereas the selection was only handed a 5lb rise for her defeat of a subsequent winner at Newmarket.
Bred to get today’s longer trip, the Fastnet Rock filly has only been seen once since May and is clearly on an upward curve. As big as 8-1 at one stage on Thursday evening, she was trading around 6-1 at the time of writing and looks worthy of each-way support in a competitive contest.
Friday’s selection:
3:55 York – Star Rock; 5/1 bet365
