Though he faces no easy task on his return to the level MINOTAUR (2:55) is an interesting runner under top weight in Newbury’s Dubai Duty Free Handicap.
An easy winner of two novice hurdles – during May and June – the five-year-old was a Listed winner in France and travels through his hurdles races like he could make an impact off his current mark on the Flat.
It appeared at one stage like the Northumberland Plate was going to be his target, so he has clearly been ready to run throughout the summer and, while he would appreciate a little further, he can go well here if tuned up over this 1m4f trip. I suspect he will be available at an each-way price.
