At the prices, however, I’m prepared to side with EQUUS AMADEUS (2:00) for Tom Lacey and Richard Johnson.
The four-year-old caught the eye with how he travelled when third at Warwick in April and landed a bumper at Exeter the following month, finishing strongly in the closing stages.
He will need to switch off in the early part of the race to get today’s longer trip, but he looks potentially useful and might be capable of winning on debut.
