Despite failing to set the world alight in three chase starts last winter PADDY’S FIELD (4:35) is given another chance in the opener at Worcester.
Ben Pauling’s seven-year-old returned from a lay off to finish second in a decent Kempton handicap hurdle, before winning at Southwell last month.
He runs off that same mark this evening (117) as he reverts to the larger obstacles, having finished third off 127 in a Worcester handicap more recently. He looks fairly treated, if getting his act together over fences.
