RIGOLETTO (3:20) has been kind to this column this season and, though things didn’t go to plan last time, he is given another chance at Salisbury today.
Luca Cumani’s Zoffany colt was held up in a slowly run contest last time and never landed a blow. He had earlier impressed in winning a Yarmouth maiden and a Newmarket handicap, where he had Surrey Hope back in third.
The latter is again respected and he is likely to appreciate the better ground, but preference is for the strong-travelling Rigoletto who had looked highly progressive prior to his latest outing.
