Beaten a neck by Alexander M – an easy winner at Chester on Sunday – on his penultimate start, he could finish only fourth at Ripon last month, but that race has worked out well since.
The winner Cape Coast ran a cracker in better company at Ascot next time, while the third Tor has won twice since, again as recently as Chester on Sunday.
A Newcastle maiden winner last October, Crushed certainly looks on a mark from which he can win a handicap and the William Haggas string remain in fine form, providing us with an easy winner (Mojito) on Saturday.
