One-time Supreme Novices’ Hurdle favourite Jenkins bids to bounce back to form at Ffos Las on Sunday, but is sure to be priced up accordingly, and of more interest from a betting perspective is Forza Milan (4:05) who can make a winning handicap debut for Jonjo O’Neill.
Having split Gayebury and The Worlds End on his hurdles debut, he chased home another Aintree winner in the shape of Rather Be at Huntgindon on Boxing Day before getting off the mark in a Chepstow maiden last time. A progressive five-year-old, an opening mark of 128 looks fair.
Over in Ireland, Willie Mullins looks set for a big day with Yorkhill and Let’s Dance in Grade 1 action, while Don’t Touch It (3:25) is another that looks on a fair mark, in the Boylesports Novice Handicap Chase.
A Grade 1 winning novice hurdler last term, the seven-year-old bolted up on his third start over fences at Thurles before chasing home the exciting Great Field last time. The winner has won again since, as has the third, the selection’s stable-mate Woodland Opera, so that form looks decent and he can defy top-weight to land this valuable prize for the in-form Jessie Harrington.
