The victory of Baracula actually paid a compliment to today’s selection, as he finished third behind his stable-mate in a Carlisle bumper last April.
So far this term, Robintheaulad finished fourth behind Master Of Finance (runs in today’s opener) over an inadequate 2m, before finishing third in a decent event here in November – that form has worked out well since.
The fact he has been off since suggests all was not right and, with the step up in trip sure to suit, he is very much of interest off an appealing looking opening mark (106).
