Paul Ferguson fancies Wayward Prince (1.55) and Mossley (2.30) at Huntingdon on Sunday afternoon.
Sunday is a big day for trainer Ian Williams, with Weird Al returning to action up at Carlisle and Wayward Prince (1:55) making his chasing debut at Huntingdon.
A Grade 1 winning novice hurdler last term, the six-year-old is a former Irish points winner and appeals as the sort to make up in to a very smart novice chaser.
Nicky Henderson saddled Radium to score at Ascot yesterday, but some of his other runners looked as though they would benefit for their first outing of the season.
With that in mind, taking short odds about Mossley (2:30) may be slightly risky, but I’d be disappointed if he couldn’t dispose of these rivals on his hurdles bow, even if he’s not quite fully wound up.
Sunday’s selections:
1:55 Huntingdon: Wayward Prince
2:30 Huntingdon: Mossley
