Paul Ferguson has one selection for us on Wednesday; Jameson in the Hereford 14:55. Compare odds and bet.
JAMESON (2:55) created a good impression when winning a bumper for trainer Paul Morgan and, though he was beaten on his hurdles debut, he remains an interesting prospect.
The well-bred five-year-old (second foal out of the smart mare Shatabdi) travelled well when runner-up at Ffos Las on ground possibly softer than ideal. Up in trip today, on this second start for Nicky Henderson, he sports a first time hood and, in receipt of weight from his likely main dangers, he can get off the mark.
Keeper Hill isn’t easily dismissed, despite carrying a penalty, while Westendorf also brings a decent level of form to the table. An Siltean and Bally Gilbert are also worth noting, with the latter of interest based on his second to Mount Mews in a Market Rasen bumper. He is highly regarded by Ben Pauling and this could well be a race that produces several winners.
