Despite the fact that Espoir De Teillee (a horse I am really looking forward to seeing) hasn’t been declared, today’s bumper from Bangor-On-Dee looks a decent event on paper.
There isn’t much form to go on, but CELEBRE D’ALLEN (3:50) looked unlucky when falling at the final fence when set to win a maiden Point-to-Point in Ireland.
A nicely bred five-year-old, he caught my eye at the Tattersalls Sale at Cheltenham back in November, and it wasn’t a surprise that he fetched £100,000. He makes his debut for David Pipe today and it wouldn’t be a shock if he was up to making a winning start under Rules.
