Premier League Treble Pays 9/4

The Sunday Mail’s Oddsfellow aka betrescue’s Chris Hutcheon previews this weekend’s Premier League action and fancies a Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle treble at 9/4

Rarely has a Merseyside derby been played in such unusual circumstances. The ownership wrangle at Liverpool juxtaposed with the fact that Roy Hodgson’s men are in the bottom three suggests that matters at Anfield are almost as turbulent on the field as they are off it; nevertheless, it could be that a neighbourly dispute is just what the Reds need to kick-start their campaign.

Over the park, things seem comparatively stable. Admittedly Everton are lying in 17th but they recorded their first win of the season last time out and arguably look in better shape on paper. Of course matches aren’t played on paper but the Toffees are still classed as narrow 6/4 favourites by Totesport while Liverpool are rated at 2/1 by William Hill and 888Sport chalk 9/4 against the stalemate.

The spoils haven’t been shared in this fixture for over a decade but that draw quote stands out nonetheless and in the frantic derby atmosphere, with neither team particularly potent, the ambitious might fancy ’s 8/1 for it to end goalless. A match tally of fewer than 2.5 goals (8/11, Betdaq) certainly seems likely and a lively alternative is Gamebookers’ 8/5 marked against the first half finishing 0-0.

Chelsea have won six out of seven and they’re Stan James’ 4/5 favourites as they head to Aston Villa, but shrewd punters will have their eye on Betfred’s 11/4 for the contest to finish all square. The hosts have conceded just once at home while the Blues have a formidable defensive record and so fewer than 2.5 goals (evens, Betdaq) should be scored at Villa Park, where Coral price scores at 6/5 to be level at the break.

Manchester City (8/13, 888Sport) should see off Blackpool but away wins elsewhere could be few and far between. Arsenal (1/3, Stan James), Manchester United (2/7, William Hill) and Newcastle (10/11, Betdaq) for example, all look set to emerge triumphant on home soil as they entertain Birmingham, West Brom and Wigan respectively. Meanwhile, Gamebnookers rate Fulham’s clash with Spurs at 9/4 to end in stalemate, Betfred offer an identical price for the same result as Bolton lock horns with Stoke and bet365 make Wolves and West Ham 9/4 to be inseparable at Molineux. Finally, on Monday, Ladbrokes offer 6/5 for Blackburn to edge out Sunderland.

Recommended Bets:
Everton and Liverpool to draw – 9/4 (888Sport)
Aston Villa v Chelsea to produce fewer than 2.5 goals – evens (Betdaq)
Man Utd, Arsenal and Newcastle treble – 9/4 (William Hill)
