Two winners yesterday for Paul Ferguson who selects two at Uttoxeter on Wednesday in Nicene Creed and Ackertac.
Yesterday’s selections came in at 5/6 – Marden in the 3:10 at Leicester and 7/1 in the 2:50 at Huntingdon: Fidelis
Novice hurdlers take centre stage on Wednesday with Ballybriggan (5:30) looking to have a penalty kick at Wetherby.
At the time of writing he’s trading pretty short on the exchanges and, if you’re willing to get stuck in to a short one, I’d prefer to take the odds about Nicene Creed (2:40) at Uttoxeter.
Philip Hobbs’ hurdles debutant finished runner-up in a decent bumper at the Punchestown Festival and this looks an ideal starting point.
Course winner Ackertac (3:45) is another to note later on the card.
He was an impressive winner here last month and, whilst that was a poor contest and improvement is required, the step up in trip looks very much in his favour.
