In the clubhouse on 12-under par, John Parry is now a clear favourite at 2/1 with William Hill at the half way point of the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Unflappable USPGA champion Martin Kaymer is the stand out name in the chasing pack and he’s now in to 8/1 courtesy of Betfred while Spaniard Alvaro Quiros and Ross Fisher are hot on the German’s heels in the betting at 12/1 apiece with Ladbrokes and Victor Chandler respectively.
Elsewhere, Ryder Cup hero Graeme McDowell is chalked up at 16/1 by 888Sport and at the same price, this time with Paddy Power, is Padraig Harrington.
Finally, a top two finish for Lee Westwood would see him leapfrog Tiger Woods to become world number one but the Englishman, who secured two-and-a-half points for Europe at Celtic Manor last weekend, is some way adrift of the leader and is subsequently trading at 50/1 with Stan James as his second round comes to a close.
