Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Thursday; Wuff in the Wincanton 2.10 and Mala Beach in the Gowran Park 3.10. Compare odds and bet.
The winner of the Galmoy Hurdle on this card two years ago MALA BEACH (3:10) holds strong claims in this afternoon’s Thyestes Chase at Gowran Park.
Gordon Elliott’s eight-year-old remains lightly raced over fences and should relish today’s prevailing ground. He remains on a fair mark and should go close under Davy Russell; he is worthy of each-way support.
On the domestic front, should Wincanton pass their inspection WUFF (2:10) can finally get off the mark over fences.
A huge imposing son of Beneficial, he handles heavy ground and the drop back to 2m4f could be the key. Keen to get on with things, I’d allow him to bowl along at this trip and, under such tactics, he can score for Paul Nicholls and Sam Twiston-Davies, despite facing some seasoned handicappers.
Thursday’s selections:
2:10 Wincanton – Wuff
3:10 Gowran Park – Mala Beach
