Sunday’s play in the Ryder Cup was delayed because of more heavy rain at Celtic Manor and a Monday finish was looking increasingly likley.
At the end of the second day Europe trailed 4-6 but lead in the two foursomes and four fourballs and Ladbrokes make Colin Montgomerie’s side 4/9 to win it with all six current matches in favour of the homesters.
Corey Pavin’s men briefly went odds-on at 10/11 during Saturday play but ended up in the club house at 9/4.
Ladbrokes spokesman David Williams told betrescue.com: “We’re cheering on Europe. The monster bets came for the USA and they were still popular in play before the Saturday evening European recovery.”
The tie remains a 10/1 shot.
