Paul Ferguson two selections from Doncaster for us on Friday; Curbyourenthusiasm at 2.30 and Seamour at 3.05. Compare odds and bet.
Though he has a bit to find at the weights with several of these SEAMOUR (3:05) is worth siding with in Friday’s Doncaster Cup.
Unlike a large proportion of today’s field, there is a good chance we have yet to see the best of Brian Ellison’s four-year-old, who ought to relish today’s trip.
The Cesarewitch is very much the race I have in mind for the selection (so you may want to take the 16-1 if you’re that way inclined) but, with conditions to suit, I can see him running a big race this afternoon, despite the sharp rise in class. A bold showing here would see him head the Cesarewitch betting.
Earlier on the card, I’m happy to give another chance to CURBYOURENTHUSIASM (2:30) in the Mallard Stakes.
I was really keen on his chances last time at York, but the race did not suit hold up horses. He had earlier won twice at Windsor before travelling very strongly when second at York, form that has worked out well since.
The step up in trip could well suit and the grey is given the chance to leave his latest run behind; he had looked highly progressive prior to this.
Friday’s selections:
2:30 Doncaster – Curbyourenthusiasm; 6/1 bet365
3:05 Doncaster – Seamour; 7/1 Skybet
